Mark Chapman introduces highlights of two matches on the opening Sunday of the 2013/14 Premier League season. Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is back for a second spell in charge of Chelsea - they host newly-promoted Hull at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace will be out to prove that they should not necessarily be firm favourites for relegation as Tottenham go to Selhurst Park for a hotly-contested London derby.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the heavyweight clash between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford. Both clubs have new managers in charge and it will be fascinating to see if either of them could lay down a marker for the rest of the campaign with the 2013-14 season in its infancy. The headline-making Jose Mourinho has pulled off some crucial victories at Old Trafford before, while this is David Moyes' first home game in charge of Manchester United. There will also be highlights of all the weekend's action, including Sunday's match between Premier League new boys Cardiff City and Manchester City, plus Tottenham and Swansea's encounter at White Hart Lane.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, including two mouthwatering derbies, with Liverpool hosting Manchester United and Arsenal in action against north London rivals Tottenham. The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, England's two most successful clubs, ensures games between the two north west teams are always fiercely competitive. But today's fixture has an added edge following United's recruitment of manager David Moyes, who has arrived after 11 years in charge of Liverpool's cross-city rivals Everton. The Scot never won a game at Anfield while in charge of the Toffees, and will want to put that record right with his new club. Derby matches can sometimes be cagey affairs, but games between Arsenal and Tottenham invariably produce entertainment. The previous six meetings have yielded a total of 31 goals - including 5-2 wins for Arsenal in the previous two matches at the Emirates.

The hosts had a decent season last time around, and have newly-capped England striker Rickie Lambert to thank for much of their success in recent years. West Ham have a similarly burly target man in Andy Carroll, and both of them are likely to be battling for the same place in Roy Hodgson's England squad over the coming season. Mark and guests also look back at the goals from Saturday's eight games.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League matches. It is the first Manchester derby of the season, with the managers of both United and City getting their first taste of this unique rivalry. David Moyes will be used to the intensity of such games, having overseen plenty of Merseyside derbies in his time as Everton manager. However, the Scot had a poor record in those clashes, and will be hoping for a change of fortunes now he is at Manchester United. His opposite number, Manuel Pellegrino, was sacked after just a season at Real Madrid - in part because his side finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona - so the Chilean also understands the importance of getting the better of big rivals. In the day's early kick-off, Arsenal host Stoke, hoping to extend their perfect home record in Premier League fixtures against the Potters, having won on all five previous occasions. Could new Stoke manager Mark Hughes inspire his side to end their losing streak?

Highlights and analysis of the day's two Premier League fixtures, as Sunderland host Liverpool and Stoke welcome Norwich. Sunderland head coach Paulo Di Canio brought in 14 players over the summer and is already under pressure after failing to win a Premier League game in August. Conversely, Liverpool made a superb start to the season, including victory over champions Manchester United. Stoke made a promising start to the season under new manager Mark Hughes, but after tough fixtures against Manchester City and Arsenal they will welcome the visit of Norwich, who have never won at the Britannia Stadium in eight attempts. Plus all the goals from Saturday's games and a light-hearted look at some of the weekend's more unusual moments.

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea head to Norwich in one of two early kick-offs, while Southampton welcome Swansea in the other clash. Tottenham then entertain West Ham without a key man from last year's 3-1 win in the corresponding fixture - the world's most expensive footballer, Gareth Bale, recently departed to Real Madrid for £85.3 million. Their north London rivals Arsenal are also in action on a busy afternoon for the capital's sides, with the Gunners travelling to West Brom. Plus all the goals from Saturday's games, as well as a light-hearted look at some of the weekend's more unusual moments.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park. The home side are looking to make amends for their 4-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup third round last month. Goals from Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and a brace from Jermain Defoe gave the visitors a comfortable win, although the hosts were controversially denied a clear-cut penalty early in the second half. Tottenham also won 4-0 on their last Premier League visit to Villa Park, with Gareth Bale scoring a hat-trick. The Welshman has since left White Hart Lane to join Real Madrid, but the Londoners have reinvested the proceeds from his sale, purchasing exciting talents such as Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. So despite Bale's departure, Andre Villas-Boas' side have high hopes of breaking into the top four this season. Mark and guests also look back at the goals from Saturday's eight matches.

With Jose Mourinho having replaced Manuel Pellegrini as Real Madrid manager, the two now do battle in the Premier League, with Mourinho's Chelsea hosting Pellegrini's Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Sunderland meet Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light, with the Black Cats desperate for points after a wretched start to the season. Tottenham's form has been encouraging so far in this campaign, and the London side were aiming to rack up another three points against newly-promoted Hull City. The day's other fixture pits Swansea against West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from the Premier League, plus a look back at Saturday's goals. While the fixture list might be relatively quiet, with just two games, the day's action is sure to be explosive with South Wales rivals Cardiff and Swansea going head-to-head. The clash at the Cardiff City Stadium is the first-ever top-flight meeting of the two sides. Elsewhere Everton take on Tottenham in what is, if last season is anything to go by, sure to be an equally entertaining encounter. Two stoppage-time goals earned the Toffees a last-gasp 2-1 victory last term, and new Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be after more of the same as he looks to build on his side's impressive start to this campaign.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from a busy day of Premier League action, as Arsenal travel to champions Manchester United for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. The Gunners are looking to halt a four-game losing league streak at Old Trafford. Manchester City make the trip to the Stadium of Light, something of a bogey ground for City following 1-0 defeats on each of their last three visits. Newcastle are in London to take on Tottenham, while Swansea host Stoke in the day's other games.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from the day's Premier League matches, with Manchester City playing Tottenham and Cardiff City hosting Manchester United. Manchester City and Tottenham were the Premier League's two biggest spenders this summer, shelling out in the region of £200m to strengthen their squads. The signings of Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas, Fernandinho and Stevan Jovetic underlined City's intention to reclaim the title they won in 2011-12. Spurs, meanwhile, purchased Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado in order to compensate for the loss of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. Manchester United are the reigning Premier League champions, but the Red Devils are looking to recover from a slow start to the season under manager David Moyes. They can expect a difficult test away to Cardiff, who have already beaten Manchester City on home turf this season. Mark and guests will also look back at the goals from Saturday's seven matches.

In the lunchtime kick-off, there was a mouth-watering clash as Tottenham welcomed champions Manchester United to White Hart Lane. Traditionally this fixture has served up some memorable matches over the years and it is one that has been dominated by the Red Devils. Tottenham have not beaten United at home in the league for 12 matches in a run stretching back to 2001. However, given the indifferent start to the season made by David Moyes' side, Spurs will fancy their chances of pulling off a rare victory. Elsewhere, Chelsea host Southampton in an intriguing-looking encounter. The Saints took four points off the Blues last season, including an impressive 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Also in action are Hull, who host Liverpool at the KC Stadium, and Manchester City take on Swansea at the Etihad.

Arsenal were looking to continue their title push against Everton in the pick of Sunday's fixtures. Last season's clash at the Emirates came in April, with a 0-0 draw doing neither team any favours in their battle for Champions League qualification. Elsewhere, Fulham take on Aston Villa. Villa were in the midst of their worst top- flight start since 1986 when they lost 1-0 at Fulham last season. Both sides have endured a tough opening to this campaign, and will be equally desperate for three points at Craven Cottage.

Jose Mourinho was unbeaten against Arsene Wenger heading into this match, and his Chelsea side won 2-0 at the Emirates in the League Cup earlier this season.

Mark Chapman introduces Premier League highlights, with Newcastle United in action against Manchester City and Stoke City playing Liverpool. Manchester City declared their intent to regain the title they won in 2011-12 by beating Newcastle 4-0 in their first match of the current campaign. However, Alan Pardew's men have recovered from that disastrous start to climb the table, thanks largely to the goal-scoring form of France striker Loic Remy. But City boast plenty of firepower themselves, with Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko all proven finishers. Liverpool's victory against Stoke in August was the first of three successive 1-0 wins for Brendan Rodgers' side. However, the Reds know from experience that the Potters are tough nuts to crack on home turf - Liverpool have lost their last three Premier League games at the Stadium of Light. Tottenham beat Swansea 1-0 early in the season and are in need of a repeat result as they target a top-four finish.

Recent encounters have been tight, and their sixth draw in 12 meetings earlier in the season was notable only for Tottenham's controversial decision to allow goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to play on after suffering a head injury and losing consciousness late in the game. Defending champions Manchester United have struggled at Old Trafford under new manager David Moyes this season, but the visit of Fulham has traditionally provided home comforts. United have won 17 of the last 18 league meetings in Manchester, and Fulham's wretched defensive record this season does not hint at an upset.

Spurs began life after Gareth Bale with a 2-0 win over Norwich earlier this season and are looking for more of the same at Carrow Road. Meanwhile, Newcastle welcome Aston Villa to the north east.

Cardiff head to London in search of their first win at White Hart Lane since 1954. The newly-promoted Bluebirds controversially changed their manager earlier this season, with owner Vincent Tan deciding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a better chance of keeping the club up than predecessor Malky Mackay. Tottenham also opted for a change at the top, with Tim Sherwood replacing Andre Villas-Boas in December. Meanwhile at Villa Park, Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert faces his former club Norwich City. The Scot guided his current side to a 1-0 win at Carrow Road when the sides met earlier this season. Another win would see Villa record a league double over the Canaries for the first time since the 1980-81 season, when they were crowned champions.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford, chasing a double over their bitter rivals United for the first time since the 2008-09 season. Their 1-0 win at Anfield, in what was only the third match of the season, set the tone for a campaign in which Liverpool have impressed, while the Red Devils have struggled badly under David Moyes. At White Hart Lane, Tottenham host Arsenal in a fixture that has provided much entertainment, drama and goals over the last few years. The Gunners have enjoyed derby day superiority this season, having already beaten Spurs twice at the Emirates: 1-0 in the league and 2-0 in the FA Cup third round.

Both Tottenham and Southampton are enjoying encouraging Premier League seasons, helped in large by their contingent of young home-grown players. Southampton took the lead at St Mary's earlier this season through England hopeful Adam Lallana, but Spurs roared back in Tim Sherwood's first game in caretaker charge to eventually win 3-2. Tottenham have won all three games since Saints returned to the Premier League and the south coast club have not won at White Hart Lane since September 2003. Aston Villa play host to Stoke City in the day's other game, looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium earlier this season when the Potters scored from each of their two shots on target. Peter Crouch scored the winner that day against his former club.

Liverpool have been scoring for fun this season, and hope to add to their impressive tally at home to Tottenham, against whom they scored five without reply at White Hart Lane earlier this season. Elsewhere, Everton travel to Fulham, who they defeated 4-1 in December. But the Cottagers, who have changed managers again since then, did beat Roberto Martinez's side in the League Cup back in September. They are hoping to recreate that winning feeling and earn three points, which could be vital in their battle for Premier League survival.

A Luis Suarez-inspired Liverpool ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in the corresponding fixture earlier this season - another three points here would have done their title hopes no harm at all

Highlights on a huge day of Premier League football as Liverpool entertain Manchester City and Chelsea travel to Swansea; two matches that could go a long way to deciding the 2013-14 champions. Liverpool have not beaten Manchester City in the league in five matches, not since a 3-0 win at Anfield in April 2011, a game that saw Andy Carroll score twice for the Reds, his first goals for the club following his £35m move from Newcastle. Both subsequent league matches at Anfield have been drawn and with the league title in reach for both sides it promises to be another closely fought yet engrossing encounter. In the other match, fellow titles contenders Chelsea travelled to the Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea. The Swans have only ever beaten Chelsea three times in the league, and only once at home, that win was a 2-1 success back in 1927.

Title contenders Liverpool face struggling opposition in the shape of Norwich, who were overwhelmed by a virtuoso performance by Luis Suarez in the reverse fixture. The Uruguayan scored four goals in a 5-1 victory at Anfield - the third time in a row Liverpool have put five goals past Norwich. Arsenal and Hull meet in a preview of the FA Cup Final. Arsene Wenger's side are battling to finish in the vital fourth place spot with Everton, who are looking to complete the double over Manchester United on David Moyes' return to Goodison Park.

Liverpool's hopes of securing a first league championship since 1990 will receive a major boost if they beat title rivals Chelsea at Anfield. The Reds have been the Premier League's most improved side this season, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge establishing themselves as arguably the most feared strike force in the top flight. Blues boss Jose Mourinho has repeatedly played down his chances of lifting the Premier League trophy this season, but victory at Anfield would be a potentially season-defining moment. The third side in the title equation, Manchester City, face an awkward away game against Crystal Palace, who have already beaten Chelsea on home turf this season.
