FNAF is back with it's first official VR game "Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted". You know what that means Theorists - the story is not over yet! Well, mostly. I think this is the start of a whole new chapter of FNAF lore. The old story had its ending, William Afton trapped in limbo forever. The new story has a new villain, YOU... sort of. What do I mean? Get ready Theorists, FNAF is just getting started!

2. The monster we missed!

What if we rethink the ENTIRE lore of FNAF? I'm talking taking it back to the crying child, Afton and the original suits and a mysterious Orange - yes ORANGE - Man that no one was able to figure out. What if William Afton was not the only bad guy in the story? What if someone drove Afton into becoming Purple Guy? What if Henry had a bigger part to play all along? Today we are rewriting Five Nights at Freddy's with a new twist based on NEW evidence.

3. FNAF just got a reboot...

FNAF is back... but not in the way you may be thinking. Oh, we are getting a new game alright. Scott has started teasing FNAF AR and it made me realize something. We've been fooled! I was trying to slot in FNAF VR into the timeline as we knew it but, in fact, this is a brand new timeline - the REAL timeline! You see, everything before FNAF VR has been a TRICK! Scott has been lying to us the whole time!

4. The cult of glitchtrap

Welcome back to Five Nights at Freddy's, where today we are diving into the successor of William Afton - or rather his cult. The Cult of Glitchtrap. You see, with the release of the FNAF VR: Help Wanted DLC, Curse of Dreadbear, we were introduced to what looks to be our new big bad of the series moving forward. If you missed it in your playthrough, don't worry. I've gathered all the clues and easter eggs to give us a clear picture of the future of FNAF.

5. The secret crimes of 1985

With the release of the new Five Nights At Freddy's book series Fazbear Frights, the first 3 stories of which have been released, we have been introduced a monumental piece of information. The first pizzeria and, with it, the first round of doomed kids - the attack BEFORE the bite of 1987. What does this mean for the timeline and lore? Watch and find out!

6. The faceless puppet master

In my previous FNAF episode that dived into the new Fazbear Frights book series, I said I was going to come back to one of the characters for a closer look. Today is that day! I am taking a hard look at the boy in the time traveling ball pit, Oswald. You see, I think we may have found the person making these FNAF games. No, I don't mean Scott and the games in our world, I mean the in cannon creator of the FNAF games that was mentioned in FNAF VR. Why Oswald? Watch to find out!

In all seriousness, this new set of stories could be a GAME CHANGER for what we know about the animatronics and how they were made. 8. The body snatchers

With all the pushes going on in media, like the MCU and James Bond, it's good to know that Five Nights at Freddy's is still going strong and coming out with new stories for me to theorize about. One of my favorite FNAF characters is the little plush monster himself, Psychic Friend Fredbear. He, and the other monster toys found throughout the FNAF franchise, are FULL of secrets. What are these toys and what do they have to do with stealing the forms of human children? Let's dive in!

9. Golden Freddy... not what we thought!

There's a new FNAF book, which means it's time for Game Theory to re-dip it's toes into Book Theory! The books, as we've discussed, may be a separate timeline but what we learn in them provide us with clues to the main Five Nights At Freddy's lore. Today we are taking a closer look at Golden Freddy and seeing if the new evidence shows that we were WRONG about our conclusion on his secret identity. I know I've talked at length about our favorite golden animatronic bear, but here me out. The newest Fazbear Frights book CONFIRMED it! It's time to uncover the SOULS stuck inside Golden Freddy!

13. Security Breach, I Know the big twist... I think

You probably read the title and thought something like, "There goes MatPat, trying to figure out a FNAF game that's not even out yet." Well, you may be RIGHT but you are also WRONG! I'm not "trying" to solve the big TWIST of FNAF Security Breach. All of my days of gathering evidence and researching the Five Nights at Freddy's universe means that I KNOW my stuff. In fact, I know it SO WELL that I can predict - without playing the game - what we will learn that will change the shape of the FNAF story moving forward. What is it? How do I KNOW? Theorists, you'll have to watch to find out.

14. The new breed

The original Five Nights at Freddy's spawned many sequels and sister games. Over the years I've played them all and through that stumbled upon the phenomena that is FNAF fan games. Games so loved by FNAF fans that those games have ALSO created their own universes - some linked to the original game and some all their own. These games have gotten so big that it's a wonder they haven't been struck down by the copyright powers that be - and there is a VERY specific reason they haven't. You see, Scott Cawthon has learned one thing that most game companies never have and likely never will - community.

15. Did Reddit just solve FNAF?

You may be thinking, "Hey MatPat, don't we already know everything about Crying Child?" No, Theorists, we do NOT and you proved it! "Crying Child" is what we've referred to the victim of the Bite of '83 as since the beginning but that child has a name! A name I have figured out! This is one of the oldest mysteries of the franchise and I am sure that we've cracked it wide open! Theorists, no FNAF mystery will go unsolved as long as I am on the case.
