Though they are reunited, Reiji rejects her, forcing Kozue to secretly plot his escape with help from a former detainee. Meanwhile, Detective Yusuke Saeki reappears with unclear motives, and a mysterious woman claiming to support Reiji reveals a deeper, unexpected connection to him.
