Surawisesa, a noble youth, one of the 16 year old sons of Sri Baduka Maharaja Prabu Siliwangi, was determined to steal a sacred ancient book so that he could absorb its knowledge in order to defeat the supernatural powers of Raden Kian Santang, his second brother, a 17 year old youth. While fleeing to the hiding place, Surawisesa was intercepted a beautiful foreign woman who wants to seize the book.

2. Kutukan Desa Larangan 1

a bag of trust given by the teacher, Sheikh Nurjati, Kian Santang, accompanied by his twin uncles Aman and Amin, traveled to Mount Semeru to search for the whereabouts of this ancient and sacred book. At the same time looking for the whereabouts of Surawisesa who suddenly disappeared. Kian Santang rested in a village called Larangan Village

Kian Santang met one of the residents, a middle-aged woman named Mak Romlah whose gaze and face were cold but friendly enough to talk to. In his conversation with her, Kian Santang hoped to get some clarity. However, Mak Romlah only said that Larangan Village was affected by the devil's curse.

4. Bangkitnya Jin Khanis

Rain poured down on Larangan Village. The surau occupied by Raden Kian Santang with Uncle Aman and Amin seeped water from the rooms which were worn out and starting to become rickety. So the rundown surau was flooded with water. The lighting is very minimal. Only 1 old oil lamp attached. The surau is on the edge of a river/rice field among towering bamboo trees.

Worried about Raden Kian Santang's condition, who had not yet arrived at Mount Semeru, Sheikh Nurjati followed him to Larangan Village. There, Raden Kian Santang told everything and they agreed to do Sumi's ruqyah.
