Kamura (Kihei Shiina) is a cold-hearted elite doctor. While attracting attention for his groundbreaking new treatment to rejuvenate his aging heart, he is recruited by a shady bureaucrat, Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji), to the National Neomedical Center. Kamura, who was assured of winning the university professor election, declines the invitation, but immediately after that, he becomes involved in a suspicious document spree accusing him of past medical errors. On the other hand, Kuraki (Tatsuya Nakadai), a famous national actor who is retired due to heart failure, is hospitalized in hopes of conducting a clinical trial on Kamura. Kamura and Kuraki had a secret...

2. Episode 2

Yasaki, who seems to have succeeded in Kuraki's (Tatsuya Nakadai) clinical trial, is upset when it turns out that he has a side effect of a ruptured heart. Behind the scenes of Kuraki's "miraculous resurrection" attracting public attention, Kamura desperately tries to improve the side effects. However, the suspicious document fuss of medical errors is about to develop into a lawsuit, and the family is cornered by the offensive of Kimiko Matsuno (Maki Sakai), a lawyer on the bereaved family's side. Meanwhile, Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji) recruits Kamura to the Neo Medical Center again and reveals a terrible plan.

Kamura (Kihei Shiina) reveals the existence of side effects to the world so that his therapy will not be misused by Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji). While doing his best to improve it, he moves to expose the insider with Sakuma who caused the suspicious document uproar. Meanwhile, Sakuma, who has lost the card that captures Kamura, keeps an eye on the fate of the medical malpractice lawsuit in order to seize a new weakness. Meanwhile, the plaintiff's lawyer, Kimiko (Maki Sakai), is trying to get to the heart of the matter by obtaining a surgical needle that Kamura has left behind in the patient's body.

After Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji) holds evidence of his medical error cover-up, Kamura (Kihei Shiina) is transferred to the Neo Medical Center with his confidant Kitchen (Masahiro Komoto). He ostensibly cooperates in a large-scale clinical trial that causes heart ruptures in the elderly, but behind the scenes, he continues to research workarounds to ensure that no one dies. Meanwhile, Kuraki's (Tatsuya Nakadai) heart bursts into the countdown, and Kamura becomes impatient. He is furious with Kuraki for being so immersed in filming that he skips the inspection, but he hears an unexpected truth from Kuraki's wife, Akiko (Midoriko Kimura).

Kamura's (Kihei Shiina) therapy has been completely taken over by Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji) and used in a large-scale clinical trial that causes sudden death in the elderly. In addition, Sakuma involves Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Date (Hisaku Shimada) and others in moving to legislate the euthanasia bill. Meanwhile, Kamura tries to save Kuraki (Tatsuya Nakadai), who is about to rupture his heart, by surgery, but it is difficult to find a solution. - She finally confesses to Kuraki that their father and son were used by Sakuma. Deputy Secretary Hayashida (Kenta Satoi) tries to order the suspension of the clinical trial, but Sakuma is unable to move due to his weakness. Meanwhile, Kamura washes Sakuma's surroundings with Kimiko (Maki Sakai).
