Hoping to become the man of the family, and replace the role of his Dad who passed away five years ago, Ben wants to do the wedding his way for once, and finally gain some respect. But with a lush bride who's desperate to get married abroad, and a mother who argues his every decision, can this henpecked groom show these women, that he can be the man.... All by himself?

Blackpool boy Mike plans a wedding for his glamorous bride-to-be Katie in just three weeks. The seaside sweethearts met seven years ago under the bright lights of Blackpool, and Katie has been looking after Mike ever since. While Katie dreams of a wedding fit for a Hollywood superstar, local lad Mike prefers things a little closer to home. Refusing to use a mobile phone or the internet, this old fashioned groom thinks planning a wedding is woman's work. Determined to 'smash' it, Mike attempts to put on a Blackpool bonanza of a wedding and relies on the local attractions to pull off his dream wedding. So with a groom totally out of touch with the modern world and prefers the simple life, and a bride who is desperate for the high life, can Mike give Katie the wedding of her dreams?
