Cibele and Marcinho flee using false identities. Along the way, they meet Roberto and Marta. A setback puts the couple at odds with Domingas. Tavares goes after the stolen money.
Roberto and Marta argue about life in the mountains. They take in Cibele and Marcinho and confront Domingas. Marta decides to leave Roberto. Cibele plans to leave. Tavares has leads on them.
Tavares threatens Diego during the search for Marcinho. Domingas blames Roberto for the death of her animal. He is grieving for Marta, and Cibele is worried. Domingas shoots someone.
Domingas and Cibele become accomplices. Roberto kicks out Cibele and Marcinho. He gets closer to Patricia. Marta shows up with Álvaro. Diego takes Tavares's car. Cibele and Roberto kiss.

Roberto hosts a lunch to reconcile with Domingas. Patrícia takes Marcinho home, but Diego steals his prosthesis. While trying to retrieve it, Patrícia falls into a trap.
Manoel proposes rerouting the road through Roberto and Domingas's land, causing tension. Diego sees Marcinho scratch his car. Marta breaks up with Álvaro. A buried body is found.
Domingas and Diego are suspects in Américo's death. Cibele confronts Roberto about the land and helps Domingas. Manoel sets the animals free. Marcinho is terrified when he runs into Diego.
Diego blames Domingas. Cibele goes to work with Manoel and discovers his animals. Homero wants revenge on Manoel. Roberto confronts Manoel about Cibele. Geraldo shoots at Manoel.

With Roberto in the hospital, Marta orders Cibele to leave her house. Manoel takes revenge on Homero. Patrícia and Diego run away. Cibele opens up to Domingas. Raquel feels her baby is about to be born.
Raquel fears losing her daughter and asks Lorraine for help. Geraldo confesses to shooting Roberto. Manoel makes a proposal to get Geraldo out of prison. Lorraine goes after Cibele.
Geraldo works for Manoel. Marta helps Lorraine find Marcinho and Cibele. Patrícia and Cibele discover animals trapped on Manoel's property. Cibele and Geraldo confront thugs. Lorraine confronts Marcinho. Cibele threatens Manoel.
Manoel's threat sets off a chain of decisive events. Persuaded by Lorraine, Cibele takes drastic action.
