Return of the documentary following Brits who moved to Spain, swapping the UK for a new life in the sun. The first edition follows drag duo John and Barry, known as `Dragtastic", who get to work repairing dozens of outfits, while also dealing with their respective day jobs of cooking and teaching. Elsewhere, pensioners Ray and Christine try to adapt to the high summer heat, while ARCH horse charity founder Jill races to the rescue of a neglected white stallion.

Bambi shows newcomers Howard and Lynne around the caravan park and treats them to a Bollywood evening. But unaware to the couple the host has recently gone vegan, so it turns out to be a meat-free knees-up. Kim and Matt reopen their chip shop after a devastating fire which forced them to shut for a year and Harrison is down on the marina, trying to sell tickets for the Black Pearl pirate ship tour.

Expats Russell and Lindsay hope to attract punters to their convenience store with a selection of pastries, while retired nurse Susie and her husband Reg, who volunteer at a dog shelter, have their hands full with a littler of 10 puppies. Life coach Svetlana's online rants about the behaviour of expats on the Costa del Sol have gone viral. But as she prepares to record another monologue, she has a surprise up her sleeve.

Surreal artists David and Carol, who have been left with a shortfall in their UK pension after living abroad for years, try to sell some of their work at a market in Fuengirola. Campsite dweller and DJ Noel - who has a 10-year plan to buy a bar - gears up to spin tunes at his biggest gig of the year, the National San Juan festival. Cameras also follow former Playboy bunny Michelle and her husband Tony, who have taken advantage of the Costa's roasting heat and bought an awning company.

A crown green bowling team in Saydo are determined to end their losing streak, while Joe and Jan receive some devastating news concerning the future of the dog shelter. A Peterborough man who relocated to the Costa Del Sol launches his mobile cocktail bar, and a former racehorse that has been repeatedly rehomed and returned to the rescue centre may finally have found the right owner.

New Saydo Park arrivals Carole and Phyllis already love life in Spain but they want to experience more of the community spirit, so they sign up for fellow resident Margaret's mystery tour. Where will it take them? Tree surgeon Rocky faces danger on a daily basis as he tends to the high branches of the Costa del Sol, while young magician Dean faces the first night of a residency at the Chamber of Secrets theatre.

Expats Graham and Linda hope want to open a takeaway in Benalmadena which specialises in selling pies, but their dream has been put on hold until the council grants them permission. Will it all prove to be pie in the sky? Caravan site boss Bambi and her neighbour Johnny, who is also her former dance partner, try to rekindle their old magic at the campsite charity fete. Taffy and Leanne have set up their own pool maintenance business - but it's their own pool that is causing them the biggest headache.

Two ex-pats buy the bar they discovered on their honeymoon 21 years before, while a tattooist moonlights as both a reggae singer and a DIY visual artist. A Scottish couple bought a bargain Segway business, but making it work takes a lot of hard graft.

Novice shopkeepers Russell and Lindsay have a crisis on their hands when the meat-and-veg packs they have ordered are delivered in the wrong sizes. Ex-nurse Susie and husband Reg spend Christmas Day volunteering at a dog shelter in Estepona, and Doncaster lass Margaret belts out a few tunes with the choir - but they are a bit out of tune. Scottish couple Ivor and Barbara prepare for their first Christmas in Spain since arriving six months ago.
