Lu Fang ning is the general manager of a big corporation. She has a plan to start a new collaboration with a brand called infinity, however, she does not have her father's or the board's support. Her father wants her to marry and have a child before he lets her do whatever she wants. When the only other female member of the board is on maternity leave, Lu Fang ning decides to visit her at the hospital to gain some good rep with her. There she meets a handsome, young doctor, Ling Rui. She decides he is her ticket to winning her father's approval and proposes marriage to doctor Ling.

2. Episode 2

Ling Rui’s youngest aunt, Ling Ya Zhi, lost money in an investment and owed $4 million. She confided in Ling Rui. The person who had lent Ya Zhi money to cover her debt was Lu Fang Yu who is Fang Ning’s half-brother. Fang Ning uses the debt as a bait to get Ling Rui to agree to a contract marriage with her. But Ling Rui turns her down. Tang Ping showed up and saw Fang Ning with Ling Rui.

Lu Fang Ning has a stomach bug and Ling Rui takes care of her and realizes there's more to her than the arrogant front she puts on. He also sees a photo of young Lu Fang Ning in her apartment and recognizes her from when he was a child. He then decides to accept her one-year marriage proposal. They tell his family who after some discussion accept. Lu Fang Ning also informs her father of her upcoming marriage.

4. Episode 4

Lu Fang Ning and Ling Rui finalise their contract and go through with the marriage. The infinity project is put to vote and with her father's support, it passes. Lu Fang Ning decides to turn her wedding into a promotion opportunity for her new brand.

5. Episode 5

Lu Fang Ning now is eager to have a child and tries her level best to seduce Rui. However, her things don't go as planned. Later, Ning and Rui meet Lu Yi Yao, he seems to care a lot for Ning and is doubtful of her marriage. He mockingly warns Rui that his marriage failure will have no effect on Ning and that he will forever take care of her.

6. Episode 6

Cai Si Yu, the reporter at the wedding, recorded Lu Fan Ning and Ling Rui's discussion about their marriage contract. She decides to talk to Lu Fan Ning about this at Deersing, but inadvertently trips over Lu Yi Yao in the process, she unknowingly drops the recorder which Lu Yi Yao picks up. Ling Rui is busy at the hospital and doesn't come home for a couple of days. He takes off his ring at the hospital and tells his close friend, Peng Bo, to keep his marriage a secret. Tang Ping asks Ling Rui for help in managing her father's illness and uses this opportunity to get closer to Ling Rui.

7. Episode 7

Ling Rui takes a day off to visit Lu Fan Ning and ends up waiting the whole day while she's directing the store set up at a mall. Her step-brother, Lu Fang Yu, helps Lu Fan Ning by closing up the mall so Lu Fan Ning and Ling Rui are stuck there for the entire night. While playing games to pass the time, Lu Fan Ning and Ling Rui learn more about each other. Lu Fan Ning rewards her Lu Fang Yu with a job at the front desk of Deersing. However, he isn't thrilled as it won't leave him as much time for dancing. Meanwhile, Cai Si Ru begins to take more notice of Lu Yi Yao and peeks at him during lunch at the cafe.
