1. Episode 1

LAU TIN WAH runs a second-hand shop. His son TING KIN helps him do a little cheating and wins his favor. Another son TING PONG is upright and headstrong. He always quarrels with his father over SAU KUEN, her elder sister. TIN WAH had prejudice against SAU KUEN, believing that she has caused the death of his first wife. SAU KUEN is dismissed by her boss. She interviews for the post of secretary and is offended by the boss. TIN WAH thinks that she is useless.

2. Episode 2

Aired: 3/8/1988

TING PONG moves in a construction site in order to prepare for his examination. SAU KUEN takes a taxi to visit TING PONG. She gets' into a quarrel with the taxi driver TIN SZE. TING PONG stands on his sister's side. All the three are taken to the police station. TING PONG gets dismissed by the construction company for neglecting his duties. He goes camping on an outlying island and gets acquainted with a charming girl KA HAY. The two starts dating.

3. Episode 3

SAU KUEN starts working as a clerk in the police station. She is shy and nervous. But her superior YU FONG shows great kindness and patience to her. TING PONG passes in his examination and starts looking for jobs. His friendship with KA HAY develops. But KA HAY dares not tell him that she comes from a wealthy family. TING PONG helps out TIN SZE in a traffic accident. 'The two becomes good friends.

FONG JO TAI is a wealthy business man. He has kept a mistress YUK NGOR who has borne him a daughter KA YIU. KA HAY wins a photography competition. She is upset' when she learns that it is all due to the influence of her family. JO TAI gives business to KA YIU. JO's son KA TAI is' upset. He openly insults KA YIU being an illegitimate daughter. Insulted, KA YIU goes up the peak to cool herself off. She is attacked by street-hangers. She pleads help from TING PONG.

5. Episode 5

Aired: 3/11/1988

TING PONG helps KA YIU drive away the street-hangers. KA YIU hurriedly drives away, suspicious of TING PONG's real intention. TING PONG goes for interview and meets KA YIU again. KA YIU offers the job to him. JO reprimands KA FAI for insulting KA YIU. KA FAI is unhappy. KA HAY has to go back to Australia soon for her studies. She treasures more the moments staying with TING PONG.

6. Episode 6

Aired: 3/14/1988

KA HAY hesitates whether she should go back to Australia. After painful thoughts, she decides to go without telling TING PONG. KA HAY's departure is a great blow to TING PONG. KA YIU encourages him to concentrate on his work. TIN SZE gets driven out from his place. TING PONG invites him to stay in his house, but TIN WAH strongly objects. SAU KUEN finds a roof-but for him. She also helps him decorate the place. TIN SZE begins to like SAU KUEN a lot.

KA YIU gets the help of her father JO TAI and wins over a big business order. She promotes TING PONG to be the assistant manager. Secretly, she has fallen for him. TING PONG and family misunderstand SAU KUEN to be dating with her boss YU FUNG. The mother AH YING is relieved. TING PONG has dinner with KA YIU and JO TAI. He is' surprised to learn that they are father and daughter. YUK NGOR accepts JO TAI's proposal for marriage. on the way to registration, JO TAI gets seriously injured in a traffic accident.

8. Episode 8

Aired: 3/16/1988

O TAI dies. KA SHING and KA FAI turn their hostile faces to KA YIU and YUK NGOR . JO TAI has agreed to be KA YIU's referee in her loan application, but KA SHING refuses to carry the promise. YUK NGOR decides to sell the flat that is given to her by JO TAI. To her shock, the lawyer informs her that KA SHING has-t-a suit against her in order to get back the house. KA HAY returns to Hong Kong. During the hearing, YUK NGOR faints.

9. Episode 9

Aired: 3/17/1988

KA SHING spreads the rumor that KA YIU's company is going bankrupt. KA YIU survives the crisis only with the help of TIN WAH. YUK NGOR loses the case and is forced to move out of the house. KA HAY notices TING PONG's close relations with KA YIU and thinks that they have been lovers. KA YIU's company has to close down. She gets the help of TING PONG and the others to get back the goods secretly.

10. Episode 10

Aired: 3/18/1988

YUK NGOR goes to see KA SHING and is insulted by him': She has a heart attack and faints. KA YIU arrives to send her to the hospital. YUK NGOR dies. KA YIU moves to live with aunt LUK. KA HAY goes to visit them but is coldly received. TING PONG helps KA YIU run a small company. KA YIU is comforted. TIN SZE is saddened to learn that SAU KUEN has secret affection for her boss.

11. Episode 11

Aired: 3/21/1988

TING PONG and KA HAY join a friend's wedding. They appear to be indiffe- rent to each other. But deep inside, they are emotionally stirred. SAU KUEN is held hostage in a bank robbery. TIN SZE and YU FUNG bravely rescue her. SAU KUEN clings to YU FUNG, which disappoints TIN SZE greatly. KA YIU becomes ruthless in business in order to build up her strength. TING PONG gradually finds it irritating.

12. Episode 12

Aired: 3/22/1988

YU FUNG is transferred to become a teacher in the Police Cadet School. In order to be close to him, SAU KUEN finally decides to apply for a police woman. KA SHING has a mistress Lily who has got pregnant: He plans to fake the baby to be his wife IEI YAN's. LEI YAN is distressed. In a traffic accident, she gets acquainted with TIN WAH. To destroy KA SHING's plan, she announces a miscarriage. KA HAY decides to give back a wedding ring that JO TAI intends to give to YUK NGOR. She approaches KA YIU but is coldly retorted by her.

13. Episode 13

Aired: 3/23/1988

KA HAY gives the ring to TING PONG, who persuades KA YIU to accept it. KA HAY and T1NG PONG reconciles with each other. TING KIN has an affair with the mistress of a gangster SHING. SHING demands a talk with TING KIN. TING PONG and KA HAY', go for the appoint- ment instead.

14. Episode 14

Aired: 3/24/1988

TING PONG gets the help of TIN SZE who mediates the' conflicts between gangster SHING and TING KIN. SHING concedes and agrees on merely teaching TING KIN a small lesson. TRIG KIN is beaten and' mistaken TING PONG to be conspiring against him. He flees to the Philippines. KA YIU reconciles with KA HAY. She is delighted when KA HAY helps her win a big business. Then she discovers that KA HAY' is going out with TING PONG. She. decides to wrestle with her.

15. Episode 15

Aired: 3/25/1988

KA HAY accompanies KA YIU and TING PONG on a business trip to Macau. KA YIU shows great abilities in winning the trust of the client. Privately, she makes active moves to be close to TING PONG. KA HAY notices with anxieties. MEI YAN proposes divorce to KA SHING. KA SHING threatens to stop all financial support to her family. MEI YAN lives in great despair. She finds the company of TIN WAH a great relief. SAU KUEN passes the written examination and starts receiving training in the Police School.

16. Episode 16

Aired: 3/28/1988

SAU KUEN is heart broken when she learns that YU FUNG is getting married. In her loneliness, she begins to notice the comfort and tenderness that TIN SZE has showered on her. She decides to accept his pursuit. TIN WAH learns with anger that SAU KUEN is going out with TIN SZE. SAU KUEN resolves to see TIN SZE less. TING PONG finds himself caught between the love of KA'HAY and KA YIU. He guarantees his love for KA HAY. At the same time, he' makes known his choice to KA YIU. KA YIU cannot take the blow. She faints and is taken to hospital.

17. Episode 17

Aired: 3/29/1988

TING PONG intends to resign from the job. But KA YIU talks reason with him. She bids him to concentrate on his work. TING PONG decides to stay. SAU KUEN has to meet TIN SZE secretly. They both find it torturing. KA SHING breaks up with his mistress Lily. He puts the blare on MEI YAN. MEI YAN finds TIN WAH a good friend to talk to. TIN WAH enjoys being with MEI YAN. But he feels guilty-towards AH YING. He 'takes AH YING to some social gatherings. Unused to these situations, AH YING behaves awkwardly.

18. Episode 18

Aired: 3/30/1988

TING PONG over drinks and has a one-night affair with KA YIU. He is filled with remorse afterwards and avoids seeing KA YIU and KA HAY. SAU KUEN gathers her courage and declares that she would only marry TIN SZE, and nobody else. TIN WAH is taken aback by her courage and stops interfering with her life. KA FAI orders to have TING PONG beaten up. KA HAY meets TING PONG and is shocked to hear that he wants a break-up.

19. Episode 19

Aired: 3/31/1988

KA HAY is greatly distressed. MEI YAN stays by her side to cheer her up. She encourages KA HAY to talk to TING PONG. TING PONG refuses to see KA HAY. In despair, KA HAY decides to go back to Australia. In the airport, as KA HAY is about to check in, TING PONG arrives. The two lovers reconcile. KA YIU learns with dismay that KA HAY has made up with TING PONG. She reveals her relationship with TING PONG to her.

20. Episode 20

Aired: 4/1/1988

KA HAY decides to break up with TING PONG. TING PONG despises KA YIU for what she has done. He resigns from her company. TING PONG tries every means to beg forgiveness of KA HAY. The two reconciles and plans to go to Australia together: KA YIU is despaired.

21. Episode 21

Aired: 4/4/1988

TIN WAH and SAU KUEN plugs into a cold war when TIN'WAH wrongly accused SAU KUEN of being pregnant. KA YIU learns that KA SHING has planned to auction the flat she used to live. Lacking in capital, she tries to get financial' help to get back the flat. Lily, ex-mistress of KA SHING has now become rich. Wanting to revenge on KA SHING, she initiate the co-operation with KA YIU.', TIN WAH helps to approach KA SHING directly.

22. Episode 22

Aired: 4/5/1988

KA YIU successfully obtain the deal of buying the flat. KA SHING is thrown in deep anger when he discovers that it is a trick played on him by Lily. AH YING thinks that TIN WAH has an affair with MEI YAN. In anger, she leaves the house and stays in a monastery. KA SHING convinces Lily to give up her revenge. KA YIU is left alone paying for the flat. KA HAY lends her a helping hand by giving her the land lease.

23. Episode 23

Aired: 4/6/1988

KA YIU's friend CHUNG SHUN returns to Hong Kong. He helps KA YIU furnish the flat the way it used to be. KA YIU is grateful. MEI YAN decides to seek divorce from KA SHING. TIN SZE successfully mediates the quarrel between TIN WAH and AH YING. TIN WAH sees him in a new light. KA SHING is in great financial difficulties. He demands the land lease from KA YIU, but is driven away by aunt Luk. In retaliation, he orders his man to pour nitric acid on KA YIU's face.

24. Episode 24

Aired: 4/7/1988

KA YIU's face is destroyed by the nitric acid poured on her. KA SHING stays out from the law as there is no evidence of his, crime. KA HAY sees the great suffering and mental torture KA YIU faces after losing her beauty, and decides to give up TING PONG. TIN SZE proposes marriage to SAU KUEN. TIN WAH and the family rejoice over it.

25. Episode 25

Aired: 4/8/1988

CHUNG SHUN learns of KA YIU's accident and hurries back to Hong Kong. He arrange to have her undergo plastic surgery in Switzerland. TING PONG goes with KA YIU. TING PONG returns to Hong Kong to attend SAU KUEN and TIN SZE's wedding. KA HAY bids him to take care of KA YIU. KA YIU regains her beauty after surgery. With the help of CHUNG SHUN, she successfully prosecutes KA SHING. After all these experiences, she realizes the steadfast love and support of CHUNG SHUN. She accepts his marriage proposal. TING PONG and KA HAY are happy for her.
