1. Episode 1

Aired: 2/13/1995

WA is a 17-year-old juvenile delinquent. He was imprisoned as he had committed criminal trashing. Being counselled for a period of time, WA runs a new life. However he is still being humiliated by his colleagues. He is even framed as a sex maniac on a bus by three passengers. He begs Inspector MAN to let him go. However MAN insists on formalising the procedure of accusation. At last he is condemned to imprisonment. There he is beaten up by some bad guys so seriously that he dies. YAN blames himself as he cannot give a helping hand in the case to avoid the tragedy. On the other hand YAN's good friend WAI returns and WAI wants to be a teacher. However WAI is killed by a juvenile delinquent FAI. WAI is hurt and bleeds seriously by FAI, who wants to steal WAI's car but in vain.

2. Episode 2

Aired: 2/14/1995

YAN realises that being a social worker can do nothing to help the others. In despair, he decides to resign. However he regards his faith as WAI reports to the police, being convinced by TUNG - his colleague. LOK and TING are instructed to learn from YAN as they are new comers. They take active approach to know three problem girls - SEE, CAT and PEGGY. CAT is a sexy girl and she has many boyfriends. This enables her to enjoy the materialistic life; PEGGY is a predatory to telling lies. She admires LOK; SEE loves her old grandmother but she hates her mother as her mother is selfish and irresponsible. SEE comes across DEE and they are gravitated towards each other rapidly. SEE leads DEE home to meet her grandmother. Her mother is angry and taunts SEE.

3. Episode 3

SEE is frustrated and wants to commit suicide. YAN manages to convince SEE to give up her act. YAN knows more about SEE. He learns that SEE and her mother were abandoned by her father. Her mother works in a restaurant and she always seduces men. Her mother takes little care of SEE. He goes to counsel SEE's mother but she refuses to take his advice as she regards SEE as a hopeless crook. YAN is depressed to see that SEE and CAT go to work as P.R. in a karaoke. They turn a deaf ear to YAN. PEGGY admires LOK and courts him. After discussion, the authority decides to transfer her case to TING.

4. Episode 4

Aired: 2/16/1995

PEGGY continues to entangle LOK. LOK is annoyed. SEE's grandmother suffers from suffocation. She seeks help from YAN. YAN sends her to hospital and informs SEE's mother. At last she dies. SEE blames her mother and decides to leave home. CAT admires DEE and seduces him behind SEE. DEE takes her willingly. SEE finds some woman wears in DEE's house. Knowing that he is not loyal to her, SEE is angry. She hits DEE with an ash tray and hurts DEE. Later SEE regrets hitting DEE and makes apology. DEE humiliates her but SEE endures him.

5. Episode 5

Aired: 2/17/1995

Finally SEE knows the filthy relationship between DEE and CAT. The next day, SEE wanders outside DEE's flat with PEGGY. PEGGY finds that SEE is very unstable. Therefore she goes to call YAN. Meanwhile DEE appears with CAT. Their intimate behaviour inspires SEE's anger. SEE attacks CAT with strong acid and thrusts a dagger into DEE's body. YAN arrives and is shocked by the scene. SEE is punished by law and is imprisoned for eight months. Her mother knows that she has done wrong and makes apology. They learn how to understand and forgive each other. CAT's face is hurt and has to undergo plastic surgery. DEE recovers completely. Learning from SEE and CAT's experience, PEGGY decides to be a good student.

6. Episode 6

Aired: 10/17/1996

TAK and MING came to Hong Kong with their parents from Mainland China. Their father was a Principal and their mother was a teacher. However their academic qualifications are not recognised in Hong Kong, they have to work as janitors. TAK has to do two jobs for the family. Their only hope is MING who is a Form 5 student. In the school, MING is discriminated by his schoolmates. As he has been trounced, TAK wants to revenge but he mistakenly beats up YAN. YAN has a chance to contact TAK and MING. They are advised to improve their communication with the others by joining the others' activities. However TAK is dismissed without a proper excuse. In despair, he meets his former friend KWONG. KWONG seems to be having a good life. Being influenced by KWONG, TAK decides to join KWONG to sell drugs in exchange for a better life.

7. Episode 7

Aired: 10/18/1996

MING cannot catch up with the others. He tries to make improvement through cheating and stealing examination papers. TING and LEUNG are instructed to handle the case but they have no idea to deal with MING. TAK's sphere of influence is invaded by PETER. He gives PETER a good trouncing and PETER takes vengeance on him. TAK is seriously hurt and is sent to hospital. He deceives YAN that he has been hurt in a robbery. MING is convinced by his classmates that drugs can improve his memory. He becomes a drug addict. YAN gets wind of what has happened to TAK but he is unable to convince TAK to repent.

8. Episode 8

Aired: 10/21/1996

Taking too many pills, MING becomes unconscious and is sent to hospital. TAK scolds MING and MING regrets. Though YAN tries to persuade TAK to give up his illegal business, TAK ignores him. Instead he becomes more devoted to his work. MING incidentally discovers the drugs stored by TAK in their mother's can. He is angry and as he loses his self-control, he swallows five pills with beer. He is in a comatose state. TAK blames himself as he thinks that MING suffer s for him. He decides to surrender himself to the police. TAK and MING have mutual understanding and decide to turn to a new page of life.

9. Episode 9

Aired: 10/22/1996

KIT was brought up in an orphanage. As he had come across some undesirable elements, he became a drug addict. In order to get money to buy drugs, he robbed the others. He was condemned imprisonment. KIT has refrained from taking drugs but for his criminal record, it is hard for him to find a job. Therefore he works as a tender in a hostel. While he is working, he meets his former classmate YING who now works as a part-time prostitute. In the past, KIT admired YING and thus now he has a chance to approach her, he courts her and they live together. Later KIT finds that YING is also a drug addict. He gives her support, hoping that she can give up the bad habit. However he does not want to see her suffer. He borrows money from TUNG. TUNG suspects him and follows him. Wl1en TUNG knows what has happe.ned, he convinced KIT to send YING to hospital.

10. Episode 10

Aired: 10/23/1996

YING succeeds in giving up the bad habit. Her family and friends are happy. With TING's assistance, YING works as a salesgirl in a boutique. She learns quickly and has good performance. On the other hand, KIT's attempt to find an ideal job is in vain. Their difference in career widens the gap between them. When YING meets CHEUNG, she ignores KIT. At last YING decides to tell KIT that she wants to leave as she thinks that KIT cannot have any breakthrough in career and living. She stays away from KIT. KIT is discontented as he works as an in-formant so as to earn more money. He makes the gangsters angry and is given a good trouncing. He is seriously hurt but he still wants the social worker to find YING so that he can give her the valuable watch as a gift.

11. Episode 11

Aired: 10/24/1996

YING visits KIT and tells him that she will migrate to the Netherlands after marrying CHEUNG. KIT has to confront the cruel reality and he gives her the watch. He claims that YING will regret as he has decided to run a new life. Later KIT finds a job as a lorry driver and he aims at running a transport company. HOI's family leads the triad society. He opens a mahjong club with his brothers SHAN and JO. One day HOI is framed by the owner of a supermarket. He is accused of shoplifting. He is angry and leads his men to h-ash the supermarket. In the incident he meets LEUNG, who is a social worker. HOI is not a bad man. When he sees his friends torturing the v11eak ones, he tries to stop them. LEUNG witnesses his behaviour and realises that HOI is adversely influenced by his family background which makes him believe that power is everything.

12. Episode 12

Aired: 10/25/1996

As HOI is going to attend a gang fight, he warns LEUNG to leave the district. LEUNG thanks his kind act and convinces him to give up the -fight. However this gives his opponent a chance to defeat HOI's gang. HOI is angry and avenge his defeat by scratching his opponent's car. He is accused by the police. LEUNG knows that HOI can repent and persuades him to repeat in Form 5. With LEUNG's assistance, he can attend an interview of a school. As his parents have returned to Mainland China, SHAN and JO accompany him to the school. HOI tries to look good but he is discriminated by the Discipline Master-. SHAN and JO are angry and they have a quarrel. HOI loses the chance but LEUNG does not give up. At last they manage to overcome various obstacles and HOI is admitted to a school.

13. Episode 13

Aired: 10/28/1996

FUNG is an orphan. Her parents died when she was young. She lives with her? sister who cannot devote much time to look after he1. She becomes a problem girl, She fools around with some other younqsters and she is not serious in love affairs, Now she dates another problem boy KIN. LOK leaves his wallet in a fast food shop. He returns and can only get an empty wallet back from FUNG. He has no evidence to prove that FUNG has taken the money. FUNG embarrasses LOK by giving him money for travelling. Later FUNG goes to the centre to ask LOK to return the money. LOK knows more about FUNG. Later LOK knows that FUNG lost her virginity when she was fourteen and she gave birth to a boy - BOR. Her sister looks after BOR who is 4-year-old.

14. Episode 14

Aired: 10/29/1996

KIN abandons FUNG when he feels bored. ALEX incidentally comes across FUNG and courts her. At the beginning FUNG is not serious but later' she is touched by ALEX who is so sincere. Meanwhile FUNG's sister is going to migrate over-seas. FUNG has to confront the problem to look after herself and BOR. Meanwhile ALEX to shocked to learn FUNG's situation. He is trapped in a dilemma as he does not want to shoulder the responsibility and he is afraid that his family cannot accept her. FUNG has no choice but asks LOK to take BOR into the orphanage.

15. Episode 15

Aired: 10/30/1996

FUNG pays BOR a visit. She is happy to see that BOR is so mature. When she is going to leave, BOR bursts into tears and begs her not to abanddon her. FUNG does not want to leave BOR any more. She asks ALEX to leave her. Being convinced by LOK, ALEX changes his mind and decides to accept FUNG and BOR. They decide to turn a new page of life. KWAN is a Form 5 student. She is brought up in a rich family but she feels inferior as her brothers and sisters have brilliant academic performance. She feels that her family have levied too much pressure on her. Therefore she usually runs away from the school and fools around with some black sheep. One day, KWAN and her friends argue with PONG for a parking space. They are warned by the police.

16. Episode 16

Aired: 10/31/1996

KWAN is discontented. She and her friends follow PONG. When PONG has left his car, they attempt to steal the tires. However they manage to loosen some screws and have to run away as PONG returns quickly. Later KWAN's brother is sent to hospital as there is an accident when he is playing football. KWAN finds that PONG is also there and realises that she has made a terrible mistake. Due to this accident, PONG loses his eyesight and his girl friend LISA leaves him. KWAN feels guilty and approaches PONG. They mutually support each other and with PONG's encouragement, KWAN has improvement in her school work and acquires position 28 in her class. However her family do not share her joy. Meanwhile KWAN knows that LISA has returned to PONG.

17. Episode 17

Aired: 11/1/1996

KWAN has disappeared for several weeks. With LOK's advice, PONG goes to the fast food shop to find her. There PONG recognises the voice of one of KWAN's friends. They all run away, leaving KWAN behind. KWAN is stubborn and she asks PONG to report to the police. PONG tells her that LISA has not returned. It is only her misinterpretation. He claims that he will forgive her‧ and stays with her. KWAN is touched and promises him. FAI works in a garage. He is an introvert with strange character. One day, LOK asks FAI to check the battery of his car. LOK finds a chance to know more about him. The next day, LOK and YAN come to get the car. YAN tells LOK that FAI killed his wife by knocking her down.

18. Episode 18

Aired: 11/4/1996

FAI recognises YAN and is frustrated. LOK talks with FAI, hoping that FAI can lead a normal life. With LOK's assistance, FAI changes his character an later he tells LOK what happened. He feels guilty but he does not know how to face YAN and make his apology. He asks LOK to send his apology to YAN. Later YAN witnesses a traffic accident caused by FAI. After knocking down a couple and their baby, FAI leaves without making a stop. There are nine witnesses but only YAN recognises FAI. This puts an obstacle between YAN and Inspector MAN. At last with CHUEN's analytical work, YAN gets rid of his bias and admits that he only saw the side face of the driver.

19. Episode 19

Aired: 11/5/1996

The police arranges YAN to meet the suspects again. YAN identifies CHIU who is FAI's colleague. IN CHIU's home, the police find the key of FAI's car. At last CHIU is arrested. After this incident, FAI is dismissed and he has to find a new job. FAI feeds parking-meters for the others. YAN feels guilty and makes apology. They forgive each other and become good friends. Later FAI finds a new job. CHIU runs away and the police question CHIU's grandfather. They keep an eye on him to wait for CHIU. CHIU appears but he runs away again. MAN questions his grandfather. Unfortunately, he dies of heart attack. CHIU is angry and Iurks MAN to avenge his grandfather's death.

20. Episode 20

Aired: 11/6/1996

MAN is seriously hurt and is on the brink of death. After treatment, she passes the dangerous phase. YAN cannot forget his wife. He does not want MAN to be the shadow of his wife and thus he decides to break up with her. Later CHIU is arrested and is accused of committing murder. MAN recovers and is sent to the United Kingdom to further her studies. However she has not made up her mind. YAN knows the plan and does not know what to do as he cannot drive away his psychological barrier. At last MAN starts her journey. Later TUNG marries YU and in the wedding ceremony, MAN turns up. The others are surprised and YAN decides to grasp the chance to get whom he loves.
