The fire of Shek Kip Mei in 1950's was in -fact caused by the careless "land god" of the region. He was then sent back to the heaven. The "land god" does not know that the heaven has been modernized after the three hundred years of his duty on land. Now the "land God" has been renamed as the "spirit". As he has made a serious mistake, after trial, he is sentenced to the punishment of "evaporation". On the other hand, the Spirit Supervisor makes a mistake when he tries to arrangement jobs to nearly graduated spirits. As he does not want to be punished, he saves the one being punished and sends him to Tai Lung Cheung Hotel. Now the spirit becomes a female one and she has no idea about her duty. On her way to the hotel, she comes across LAU MING SING who is a stunt man for? a movie. She is impressed by SING. Tai Lung is an old hotel without good repair and is decaying.… ...

SING is frightened by TUNG who appears so suddenly before his eyes. He jumps down Tram the second floor and falls onto LUK CHI CHUEN who is the main character of the movie. Both of them Taint. The hotel is regarded as a haunted one and the people of the movie company want to run away. PING, WONG, LING and FAT are afraid that they will lose the chance of making money. They question the old spirit but the old spirit shirks blame onto TUNG. TUNG and PING come to a compromise and they create a mysterious atmosphere so as to .arrive at a compromise with the boss of the company - LUI. CHUEN pretends to be sick and runs away. LUI worries and with no other choice, he employs SING to act as CHUEN. SING is excited as he has the chance to act with the one whom he admires. That is KA YING.… ...

TUNG is frightened by the fire scene on television. She rushes in the hotel. PING and the old spirit are happy as they have got TUNG's photo. As TUNG finds her visible, she tip-toes to the oven. The others are able to see her but they make no sound as they think that she is a ghost. TUNG has to take PING and the old spirit's terms as her photo is in their hands. They want to make TUNG invisible but in vain. Meanwhile the police force arrive to find illegal immigrants. PING pushes TUNG into SING's room to take refuge. SING takes TUNG as YING. As he does not want to have any scandal, he hides her up. PING claims that TUNG is an illegal immigrant. The others do not want to get into any trouble, so they refuse to adopt her. When they see her in beautiful clothes, they are impressed and change their mind. They even try to flatter her. TUNG is frightened by fire and falls down a slope.… ...

4. Episode 4

Aired: 9/14/1993

Being affected by alcohol, YING kisses SING whom she regards as CHUEN. TUNG is shy to see the intimacy between them. By mistake, she turns the light on and wakes them up. They are embarrassed. KAU goes to see the progress of the making of the movie. LUI is very nervous. KAU scolds the others but when he sees PING, he changes his attitude. PING tries to stay away from KAU but at last they meet. In the past, KAU admired PING but he feels ashamed as he has not kissed her hand. PING promises him for SING. SING has his confident as he has won Tame and appreciation. He begs YING's love and YING is touched by him. When their love has a chance to germinate, CHUEN appears again. The old spirit ignores TUNG who seeks advice Tram him as he has TUNG's photo. CHUEN tricks YING, making her trust him and turn back to back. After that he entangles KAU and gets the role of main character again.… ...

5. Episode 5

SING is ashamed as he knows that his performance relies so much on TUNG's assistance. PING forces the old spirit to find SING. The duty is levied on TUNG's shoulder. TUNG learns from Piggy Spirit about SING's situation. She goes to scold him and this wakes him up. SING goes to question PING and asks her to give him TUNG's photo. When he is getting it, it is blown away. CHUEN gets the photo and is attracted by TUNG. Therefore he takes the chance to trick her. TUNG gets invisible and is seen by CHUEN. When CHUEN realises that TUNG is more frightened than him, he asks +or the reason. At last he decides to threaten TUNG so that he can get his fame back. CHUEN is able to finish many difficult tasks and is proud. SING is humiliated by him. CHUEN tells YING that KAU admires her. YING feels being humiliated and decides to leave CHUEN. The life insurance broker TIN CHUNG TAI is excited and he has compiled CHUEN's policies.… ...

6. Episode 6

Aired: 9/16/1993

The others are impressed by SING's speech. TUNG wants to help SING but SING refuses her for his own dignity. At last SING is able to make the task. All the others are happy. The old spirit wants to report TUNG's misbehaviour to the heaven but all photos are destroyed. TUNG is still worried and the old spirit tricks her that the only solution is to run away. TUNG says goodbye to all the people in the hotel and the old spirit is excited to see his plan succeed. The others are aware and when they know what has happened, they punish the old spirit. TUNG meets Piggy Spirit who spoils the old spirit's trick. TAI brings CHING to celebrate in the hotel but his idea is not appreciated. The others hold a farewell party Tor the old spirit and TAI sees him get invisible. He is frightened and Taints. TUNG incidentally gets the "Spirit's Manual" and gets an idea to save the old spirit.… ...

7. Episode 7

Aired: 9/17/1993

TAI wants to kill himself in the hotel. TUNG wants to save him but by mistake, she pushes him out of the window. TAI is sent to hospital and CHING takes good care of him. TAI is surprised. Later he discovers that CHING gets a large sum of compensation as he has become paralysed. In fact TAI's backbone is deformed since he has been given birth to. CHING orders him to pretend to be disable. TAI dares not to ignore her order. TAI will be investigated for one month and CHING arranges him to stay in the hotel. TUNG feels guilty and takes care of him. TAI is able to deceive all the agents sent by the insurance company. Meanwhile, a blind girl HA YUN comes. She is forced to marry by her uncle. TAI cannot give her a hand as this may spoil their plan. TAI KING and SIU KWAI want to commit robbery. Thinking that they are agents sent by the insurance company, TUNG frightens them away. TAI sees her again and faints.… ...

8. Episode 8

Aired: 9/20/1993

TAI takes a chivalrous spirit to punish YUN's uncle and drives them away. TAI has mercy on YUN and shoulders the responsibility to take care of her. YUN thanks him. TUNG appears in front of TAI and explains to him. TAI realises what has happened and he is annoyed with TUNG. The old spirit uses tricks to control TUNG so as to minimize problems caused. In front of YUN, TAI is happy as he is regarded as a great man. By accident, TAI loses his wheel-chair. He does not know what to do when he wants to go to toilet. Meanwhile TUNG comes with the wheel chair. In fact YUN is keeping an eye on his action in the hidden camera. TAI loves YUN and YUN is impressed. TAI knows that CHING is going to pick him up. He does not know what to do but TUNG can do nothing as she does not know human beings' passion. CHING comes and witnesses YUN kissing TAI. CHING scolds TAI and insults YUN. TAI is angry and proposes to break up with her.

9. Episode 9

Aired: 9/21/1993

CHING does not want to lose the compensation and she returns to the hotel, suggesting to marry TAI at once. TAI does not know what to do and the others worry about him. In the ceremony, YUN appears and TAI is excited. TAI leaves CHING and follows YUN to the beach to disclose his love. However his ability to walk has been recorded. YUN does not know whether she should report the case. CHING takes the chance to get the video tape. CHING pretends to be tender as she is waiting for the money. TAI is frustrated to know that YUN is sent by the insurance company. The investigation period is over and the insurance company is ready to give compensation. TAI misses YUN and TUNG tries to make him happy. TAI feels guilty. After consideration, TAI decides to give up the money and stands up in front of the others. YUN is happy to see it. TUNG is punished as she cannot complete her duty.… ...

10. Episode 10

SAIR WING SING and MA VICK SUE bring their daughter JOE YI back to Hong Kong. The couple indulge in gambling. They rush to bet immediately after they get off from the plane. They even do not know that their daughter has got lost. TUNG meets YI and is discovered by her. They have a pleasant conversation and TUNG has mercy on her. TUNG brings her back to the hotel. SING is WONG's elder brother and they meet YI when they arrive at the hotel. KI flatters SING as SING is rich. He accompanies SING and when SING feels strange about the worship of a tree, he explains that the villagers believe that the tree can bring them good luck in gambling. SING does not believe but he has an idea. SING and SUE bet with the villagers and win too much. The others are discontented and they have a fight. SING is hurt but he picks a jade accessory near the tree. The old spirit feels uncomfortable and knows that a demon has got into the hotel.… ...

TUNG is trapped and the old spirit is unable to help her as his magic tools are taken away by FA. As FA's jade accessory is kept by SING, she has the chance to absorb human essence. She takes the appearance or human beings and appears in the hotel. WONG is attracted by her 'as she looks like his first lover. He even bets with SING to win over her heart. SING is astonished to see how he wins in gambling with FA's assistance. FA makes herself mysterious and deceives SING to accompany her. Meanwhile SING trusts her as she makes him win so much. WONG backbites SING and SUE goes to question SING. SING convinces her that this is for money and SUE is satisfied. WONG peeps FA and discovers that she is a ghost. However the others laugh at him, thinking that he is ridiculous. WONG is angry and calls the old spirit. As the old spirit knows FA's presence, he cannot tell them straightly.… ...

12. Episode 12

Aired: 9/24/1993

The hotel becomes a gathering place for human beings and ghosts to gamble. TUNG uses magic to catch FA but in vain. Luckily the old spirit helps her to escape. SING and FA become so intimate that the others are angry. However SUE tolerates it. FA is discontented with the others and sends Naughty Ghost to trick them. As Piggy Spirit learns from TUNG that the hotel has been haunted. He goes to investigate the case. TUNG follows him and impersonates Naughty Ghost. TUNG and the others want to take the jade accessory but it is a vain attempt. SING suggests to divorce with SUE. SING is astonished when the others tell him that FA is a ghost. SING has been confused by FA and though he knows her real identity, he does not leave her. FA tortures SING and SING has no way to escape. TUNG, the old spirit and Piggy Spirit are turned into dices. SING regrets having helped FA and releases TUNG.… ...

13. Episode 13

SUE bets with FA in order to save SING, using her life as the chip. FA uses tricks to win the game and uses magic to take away their lives. The others have no way to stop her. YI does not want to see her parents suffer. She gets into the heart of the hurricane. This enables her to fight against FA. Although WONG hates SING, he gives a helping hand. At last they defeat FA. The hotel regains its calmness. Meanwhile TONG learns about the case of the hotel being a casino. KI wants to fool TONG and suggests to organize Food Carnival. He employs a new cook TAI D to replace FAT. FAT is discontented. TONG brings his wife and daughter to attend the ceremony. PING is excited and wants to draw his attention. However he only misses HUNG. PING is disappointed. TONG faints while he is eating. Many women approaches and claims to be his secret lover so as to share his fortune.… ...

14. Episode 14

Aired: 9/28/1993

HUNG and HIU TUNG move into the hotel to recall their sweet memory. PING is jealous of HUNG. In the past, HUNG and PING were good partners on the stage and good friends. They admired TONG but TONG only loved HUNG. This spoiled their relationship. The old spirit impersonates TONG. He only wants to dance with HUNG but by mistake HUNG kisses him. Meanwhile the Spirit Supervisor arrives to inspect his behaviour. Although he tricks the Spirit Supervisor, the old spirit loses his power. TUNG goes to steal the medicine for him. HIU TUNG wants to carry out projects to improve the hotel, but her work is ignored by the employees except TAI 0. KI is instructed by YIN to mislead HIU TUNG. The others are annoyed with her new plan.

15. Episode 15

Aired: 9/29/1993

The villagers attack the hotel and the employees are hurt. TUNG returns and tells the old spirit that there is no medicine. The old spirit is shocked as he has to be a human being. TUNG appreciates HIU TUNG's attitude and assists her. HIU TUNG thinks that TAI D is helping her. FAT feels tired and HIU TUNG reduces his working load. However FAT is discontented with the arrangement and he wants to retire. The others stop him and they try to Tight against TAI D. In order to win back the fame of the hotel, HIU TUNG invites article writers to enjoy the food provided in her hotel. TUNG uses magic and they highly appreciate the food. HIU TUNG is very happy. HUNG regards the old spirit as TONG and takes care of him. PING is angry but TUNG can do nothing. KIT wants to but the hotel at a high price and YIN is excited. FUNG is also attracted by him. KIT brings FUNG to the hotel. The others find that they should know him.… ...

16. Episode 16

Aired: 9/30/1993

TAI D falls down from the roof as he wants to save FAT. TUNG grasps him but she hurts herself. FAT and TAI D have mutual understanding. PING and the others make apology in front of TAI D. The old spirit is appointed as the administrative supervisor by HUNG. ALL employees try their best to work Tor the hotel. Meanwhile TAI D suspects the strange acts of the old spirit. He is also confused as he gets no wound in the case of falling. They organize a "Oldies Carnival" and HUNG and PING act on the stage again. This attracts many customers. FUNG brings KIT to the hotel. They are so pride that the others are discontented. Suddenly there are many pests appearing in the hotel. The government department also sends inspectors to check hygienic conditions OT the hotel. TUNG and customers try to protect the hotel. FUNG is angry as her plan is spoiled and she scolds TUNG.… ...

17. Episode 17

Aired: 10/1/1993

HIU TUNG thanks KIT who has brought so many customers to the hotel. She is deceived and touched by KIT's appealing plan in buying the hotel. The others threaten HIU TUNG by stating that they will resign if she sells the hotel. However HIU TUNG is not affected. She agrees with KIT's plan. HIU TUNG goes dinning with KIT and she finds his real character. She is shocked and sad. HUNG is shocked by the news and HIU TUNG tries to calm her down. TUNG is angry when she has overheard this and she decides to give KIT a lesson. However KIT is not frightened by spirits. Instead he recalls how he was ill-treated by the others when he was a child. In order to save the hotel, FAT makes apology in front of KIT. However KIT ignores him and humiliates him. KIT invites FUNG to dine out in a high-class restaurant. He tells her how bad TONG has treated him.… ...

18. Episode 18

Aired: 10/4/1993

By mistake, TUNG and Piggy Spirit get into the steaming cage. TUNG escapes and the Spirit Supervisor arrives. However after steaming, Piggy Spirit has changes his appearance. He calls himself YING HUNG to take in the spirit Supervisor. TUNG and the Old Spirit bring KIT to the past. KIT understands the situation but he does not change his mind. He determines to pull down the hotel. Mrs. FU and the employees decide to protect the hotel. However they are drive to a cavern to take accommodation. As KIT wants to pull down the hotel himself, he discovers his favourite violin and birthday card in FAT's room. He regrets and asks FAT to accept him again. The others are happy. KIT decides to give up the plan and he has to return to USA to report to the company. HIU TUNG pretends to have no interest in him. TAI D finds that he has a chance and thus he calls HIU TUNG without telling her his real identity.… ...

19. Episode 19

TUNG is depressed as she will evaporate. YING HUNG is happy. The Old Spirit advises TUNG to make YING HUNG break rules. However they are trapped by YING HUNG. Fortunately TUNG has an idea. She is allowed to stay as there are two masters in the hotel. The others aye discontented with YIN and FUNG's attitudes. HUNG tolerates them as she caused YIN's miscarriage in the past. PING is angry as HUNG is humiliated. She supports HUNG. HIU TUNG is impressed by the secret man who calls her and talks with her. YING HUNG discloses the fact that TAI D is the secret man. HIU TUNG is angry as she misunderstands TAI D's intension. TUNG counsels TAI D and TAI D has to courage to tell TUNG his love of HIU TUNG. Meanwhile HIU TUNG overhears his words and this makes their love blossom. Mrs. FU is sick as she misses his son. The others want to impersonate her son to make her happy. However their attempts are in vain.… ...

20. Episode 20

Aired: 10/6/1993

HIU TUNG becomes a Tierce woman while FUNG turns into a weak one. All are happy except the Old Spirit who worries about it. HIU TUNG is harsh to the employees and YIN. FUNG becomes so kind that she persuades YIN to accept it. YIN is angry. YIN cannot stand Tor it and gives up the hotel. HIU TUNG sells it to FUJI TARO. HUNG cannot stop her and is scolded by her. The Old Spirit and TUNG ask YING HUNG to withdraw the magic but by mistake, the employees are changed into cruel ones. YING HUNG wants to use fire to cure the others. However it causes a fire hazard and all are trapped. In order to save PING and HUNG, the Old Spirit gives up his life. For the Tire case, TUNG is being judged.
