HO CHING' SHAN and his wife is celebrating their silver wedding at the hotel VIP room with their friends and relatives. He suddenly knows that the toys manufactured from his factory are rejected from buyers for those products carry fatal materials exceeding the safety level. SHAN results in losing all his fortune. SHAN tries to investigate about the source of those materials and discovers that all are purchased from one trading company. He questions WONG FAI and CHEUK LUN who are the boss of the trading company. And he discloses that FAI has escaped and LUN claims that he knows nothing about this. CHEUK SZE encounters her ups and downs for the last four years before she completes her university studies and she celebrates with her schoolmates TONG WING SUM and SUEN CHING HAY. SUM comes from a rich family and her parents have already immigrates to overseas. She lives with her brother, LAI HANG, and her father's sister, CHUK LING. They love her very much. LING knows that her good old friend HO MAN LOK will return and work in Hong Kong. He is going to become the chairman of the director board of the "Yeung Shan Enterprise" which she works for and she's so delighted about this. LOK is still uptight by his father's death. LAI HANG tries to commence his can food business in Hong Kong. He wants to leave it for SUM to manage so as to establish her interests in the business field. SUM knows LOK and SZE are getting closer for business and gets angry about this. She tries to get closer with LOK. LING falls in love with LOK in her young days and her likes is getting deeper as time passes by. But LOK treats her as just a friend. Though she never insists, she still longs for LOK's love. HAY's mother receives HAY's telex and is told that HAY is returning home. Though she's so delighted, her sickness gets worse. HAY's mother is in a coma and this worries SZE and HAY's family a lot. When HAY returns home, her mother passes away and HAY is desperately sad.

When HAY backs home, she finds the letter left by her mother and feels very sorrow. After reading the letter, she becomes easy and decides not only crying but tries her best to achieve her ideal. LOK goes out with SZE to meet client from France. She is dissipated by the client but she handles smoothly and gets the job done successfully. LOK really appreciates her. LOK admires SZE with understanding and start to pursuit her. SUM cannot bear TIN's frustrate attitude and tries to show her admiration. SZE discovers the gap between SUM and TI'N. She tries to win TIN by doing all the things he likes. This brings them much closer. Seeing SUM is so unhappy, LING introduces CHARLES to her, who have dates on her. Although she is pursuit by him, she gets no feeling. HAY calms down and finds a job of teaching. During the leisure times, she works in the elderliness home as a social worker to kill her times. SUM knows that she cannot lose TIN and begs him to bring with her. TIN do think that she decides without giving a thought to it. He strongly refuses and really hurts her.

LOK dare not want to see SUM being hurt, he talks with TIN that not just only cares his own ideal by ignoring SUM's feeling. TIN suddenly understands and cancels the plan. By doing so, SUM feels very happy. Despite the relationship of being the boss and employee, SZE and LOK become lovers. On the other hand, SZE is so busy and cannot meet TIN. But she is still in love with him. TIN thinks that it is the right time to get marry and requests LING to plan for their marriage. HANG do not feel comfortable for TIN's career and worries for their living. TIN promises to alter his insist in his career and tries his best to take care of SUM. HANG feels better afterwards. LOK discovers that SZE is the daughter of CHEUK LUN. He gets much conflicts between love and revenge. He forces SZE to resign with an excuse by which she is deeply hurt. By the time she is dismissed, she knows that TIN and SUM get marry. After smoothed by HAY, she decides to develop her own career with her abilities and competitors with LOK. Burying her sorrow, SZE appears in TIN and SUM's wedding and celebrates generously. By seeing that, HAY really respects her. SZE meets, LUI KIN KWOK, the director of "LUI AH COMPANY", KWOK invites her to join LUI AH by offering attractive salary. He states clear that she must provide confidential information of "YEUNG SHAN". SZE promises at once for she is given the chance to revenge.

During the transfer of patient from elderliness home to clinic, HAY meets the doctor on duty, FONG TIN CHIU. He is so responsible and deeply impresses her. This results in bringing SZE to an economic crisis. By knowing that, HAY tries to look for help from SUM to SZE, but SZE refuses to accept. He asks HAY to take good care of SUM. Although HAY thinks what SZE does is wrong, she believes all these is just an instinct and she tries to explain to LOK. LOK understands after HAY's explanation. LING deeply shocked when she knows LOK and SZE' get marry. She buries her hard feelings and shows up in their wedding. TIN hurries to Hong Kong to join their wedding. He begs SUM to forgive him but SUM ignores him. After sometimes, HAY hints CHIU to pursuit her. But he gets no response and really hurts her esteem. Actually, CHIU afraid that HAY will mind he has a daughter and dare not to pursuit her. After knowing her thought, he feels free to ask her to marry him. LAI returns to Hong Kong and meets some new friends. They become good friends and usually go out, leaving CHIU himself at home with loneliness. CHIU facing serious stress between his passion and family resulting in a nervous breakdown. He can no longer concentrate in his works. HAY is so worry about this and tries to keep LAI to accompany her father at home. But LAI even don't take one of her words. FAI is badly tricked to bankruptcy and finally finds that it's all done by SZE. He tries to complaint with SZE but is told that it's a complete set up for revenge and FAI leaves in anger. FAI intents to kill SZE before his suicide for he gets no alternatives. Fortunately, LOK arrives in time to rescue SZE and SZE is saved from injury.

Aired: 9/15/1989

LOK finds out that SZE utilities the company for her own revenge and gets very angry. SZE looks completely different to him than before. HAY visits her student, WONG KA TAT by knowing that his parents are engaged in a court case. And she discovers that this is all because of SZE and leaving his poorly illed wife and son living desparately. HAY tells the truth to LOK and LOK finds guilty to this. He persuades SZE not to appear in court so as to terminate WONG FAI's sue. But SZE refuses for her resolution on revenge.

Aired: 9/18/1989

Despite all the misunderstandings with HAY, LAI loves and respects HAY. She tries to participate in preparing the wedding for them. And they all live in harmony. HAY accompanies TAT expecting his mother to recover from surgery. But TAT finds himself alone for his mother passes away. FAI is badly sued by SZE in the court and eventually his crime is established and got to be in jail. SZE is pleased to see so. LOK feels that SZE is really cold-blooded. Their relationship breaks up. LOK meets LING to express his embrasses and sadness. This is discovered by SZE who thinks that they got some extra-ordinary relationship and insults LING in the public.

LOK and LING are partners in one business deal. In order not to give any illusion to SZE on their friendship, they dare not to inform SZE. On the contrary, this deepens SZE I S queries on them and even asks detectives to follow them. An intimate photo is taken accidentally. by which SZE breaks out once she sees it. SZE questions LING with the photo in hand and gets into serious quarrel. Luckily SUM is with them, and SUM is pushed to the floor accidentally by which results in an abortion. LOK assuming that's the way of revenge to LING from SZE. He decides to divorce after serious arguments and dismisses her from "Yeung Shan" simultaneously.

SUM is shocked by the death of her baby. HAY sees this and blames SZE of this. She resolute to break up with SZE and HAY finds guilty of this. SZE's grand-pa and grand-ma show their concern for they aware SUM's situation~ They tries to plead understanding for SZE but HAY rejects. LOK appoints a lawyer to handle all the matter with SZE. SZE refuses to sign the documents and begs LOK to change his mind. LOK insists but SZE still tries to regain his love by all means.

24. Episode 24

Aiming at defeating LING's business, SZE joins the WAH's company, which is the direct counterpart of TONG's. SZE pretends to leak confidential information to LING. This causing total failure of TONG in an auction. LOK gets suspects and tries to inspect SZE. Finally, he discovers that SZE, together with WAH's, betrays TONG's family. He is really mad and totally disappointed. LOK tries to save TONG's business. He volunteers to go to Japan to deal with clients. Unfortunately, he passes away in an air-crash.

LING really shocked and feels sorrow for LOK's death. She sympathizes SZE and the anger between them fades out. Viewing the tape recorded by LOK before he left Hong Kong, SZE knows that he has compensated all she gets from TONG's. In addition, LOK seriously scolds and blames her. He only leaves 20 dollars from his fortune to her. She hardly bears the insult and becomes mad. SZE drives on the street madly resulted in a traffic accident arid she: is sent‧ to hospital.
